Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
Dear Colleagues,
It is our great pleasure to invite you to Warsaw and Poland to attend the 33rd International Cartographic Conference in 2027.
This is the largest and most important global cartographic conference organized under the auspices of the International Cartographic Association (ICA).
Cartography and geoinformation is our and your passion. We want to combine the strength, energy, and knowledge of surveyors, geographers, GIScience and geoinformatics specialists, as well as other professionals interested in the development of cartography, to present both the traditional and new faces of cartography.
We invite you to spend time within the historic walls of our closely collaborating universities—the University of Warsaw and the Warsaw University of Technology—where we combine geographical, social, and technical perspectives on cartography and, more broadly, geoinformation.
In addition to exchanging experiences, presenting scientific and practical achievements, and establishing new professional contacts, you will also have the opportunity to learn more about Poland, Warsaw, and other cities. Poland, located in the heart of Europe, offers beautiful sandy beaches along the Baltic Sea, the breathtaking Tatra Mountains, and the remarkable region of the Great Masurian Lakes.
We are proud of our distinguished compatriots, whose legacy you can encounter during your stay. Nicolaus Copernicus, Fryderyk Chopin, Maria Skłodowska-Curie, John Paul II, Lech Wałęsa, and Robert Lewandowski are just a few of the internationally recognized figures associated with Poland.
Warsaw, in turn, is a city where modernity meets history. It offers numerous museums and monuments, a unique and dynamic atmosphere, a wide selection of restaurants and cafés, many recreational areas, and even a sandy beach close to the city center.
We will make every effort to ensure that your participation in the International Cartographic Conference is both fulfilling and memorable. We look forward to welcoming you to Warsaw in July 2027!
